Funded by the Valparaíso Arts Festival - FAV 2014. The project utilized some of the materials created for the prior installment of the series. The cranes underwent a process of “Migration”, inviting the people of Valparaíso to leave their wishes for justice written on the white cranes laid out at the feet of the sculpture of Themis.

Installation was carried out by 5 climbers who hung from the building and took 2 days.


Financiado por el Festival de las Artes de Valparaíso - FAV 2014, el proyecto utilizó parte del material creado para la versión anterior de la serie. De este modo se inició el proceso de “Migración” de las grullas, invitando a la gente de Valparaíso a dejar escritos sus deseos de justicia en la grullas blancas expuestas bajo los pies de la escultura de Temis.

Technical aspects

Location: Palace of Justice. Area covered: 15x8 meters approx. Weight: 25 kilos approx. Materials: Recycled paper, fishing line, high resistance scotch. Exposure time: 5 days Number of interactions: 1500 people approx. Specifications: The work consisted of 5,000 origami cranes that were made together with different schools and institutions in Santiago. Each of the cranes was made and spun by hand. Its installation was carried out between 5 climbers who hung from the building and it took 2 days. Collaborators: Antonia Acuña, Maria Paz Flores, Carmela Carbajal School, La Maissonette School.
